Reflexology can help with the physical, mental and emotional changes that you may experience. Maternity Reflexology is a safe and practical therapy for pregnant women and one of the most relaxing therapies you can choose during pregnancy. Reflexology sessions will leave you relaxed, energized and balanced
.During pregnancy a reflexology session can assist with:
Labour Priming
Labour priming is a method by which specific reflex points are strongly stimulated with the intention of creating a boost of energy to encourage the onset of labour contractions. Many women, who are post-term and have no other medical issues, respond well. One or two treatments may be required.
I completed my midwifery degree at the University of Brighton in the UK in 2007 and moved to Perth WA in 2009. I have practiced my craft in all models of maternity care including Hospitals and Birth centers. I have attended over a hundred home births as a midwife and I am recognized as an expert in water birth. The findings from my widely acclaimed water birth research have been published and presented internationally. I have trained as a Hypnobirthing practitioner and I am a qualified clinical reflexologist. I have had three babies of my own. Their wings have dried and they have flown the nest.
My personal philosophy is to support normal birth where possible, offer women information so they can make good choices, to promote self-care relaxation and connection for women and couples in this pivotal period of their life.
